In Memory of our Grandma Barbara Rau

Our main reason for our visit to St. George this past weekend was to see Grandma Rau. She has been sick for a while and they weren't sure how much longer she would be with us. Well we just got a phone call from James' mother this morning saying that she had passed away.
I was so happy that we got the opportunity to see her one more time and that she is in a better place. I have always loved Grandma Rau from the first time that I met her she reminded me so much of my Grandma. When James and I decided to get married she treated me as though I was one of her grandchildren.
She had such a love for her family and for her Grandchildren and her Great Grandchildren and for anyone that came into her life she was an amazing person and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to know her and have her in my life.

Fun Mini Vacation

Well we went down to St. George over the weekend and had a lot of fun. All of James' siblings were there together they haven't been together in over 2 1/2 years. So that was a lot of fun.

Kristin, Abbie, James, Kate, and Tammy

It was also an extra treat because Tammy and 1 of her daughters came all the way from Germany to be there. Jakob loved having his cousin Kira there. They haven't seen each other in 2 1/2 years and they took to each other right away. They are only 4 months apart. Kira is the closest in age cousin that Jakob has on both sides of our families so he loved having someone his age to play with.

Kira was teaching Jakob how to dance and where he needs to put his hands. They are so cute together I wish they lived closer.

Some of the cousins together.

Jakob, Kira, Kassie, Kent, and Kaeden.

President Gordon B Hinckley

We found out tonight that President Gordon B. Hinckley had passed away and Jakob asked us what that meant. We told him that he was elderly and that Heavenly Father and Jesus needed him in heaven. Later that night he was saying his prayer he always blesses Gordon B. Hinckley. I told him he should bless that Gordon B. Hinckley's family would be comforted. And Jakob's response was "Bless that Gordon B. Hinckley won't die." After his prayer we explained why he had passed away. And Jakob began to cry and we asked him what was wrong and he said I don't want President Hinckley to die I Love Him. It reminded me how important this gospel is and how much I loved President Hinckley he was an amazing man. He had such a wonderful personality and a loving nature about him. My prayers are with his Family.

No good very bad day

Yesterday was a bad day and to top it off James was out of town. First it started out with the boys deciding that they wanted to get up at 4:30 am (Did I mention A.M.) Then I had a meeting with some people from the school district at 9:00. And you can only imagine how that went with two very active, and tired boys. Well later that day Kaeden fell off the couch and he ended up hitting his head on the corner of his toy container which resulted in a lot of blood everywhere. So I put both the kids in the car and drove to the nearest Instacare. And we ended up leaving with two stitches and a sticker. Well the only good part of my day was when I picked James up from the Airport at 8:00 that night. I hope I don't have any more of these days. Here's to wishing.
