Well I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas in Southern Utah with James' family this year we had a lot of fun and loved being able to see some of the cousins. Well I had a very interesting experience while we were there I forgot some things for the boys stocking so I ran to Harmon's to get a few things to put in them. I started walking down the Christmas candy Isle when this man with a Santa hat approached me. This is how are conversation continued.
Man: Hello
Me: Hello (a little hesitant)
Man: He holds out a 100 dollar bill at me
Me: Is that one of those fake 100 bills
Man: No, I need you to take this
Me: Why?
Man: Because
Me: I take the bill out of his hand. Then I ask him why he is doing this?
Man: He says I have a lot of money and I need to get rid of all these tonight.
Me: Thank you
Then he just walks away I wait there in shock it's amazing that their are still people who are doing good deeds even with the way are economy is going with people being laid off and company's going out of business. It will always be a Christmas Eve that I will never forget.
Here are some pictures after Santa came

Christmas Tree Traditions
We started a few Christmas traditions last year. Jakob picks out the Christmas tree, and puts the star on the top. I love the way are tree looks this year. Jakob picked out a really good tree, and put the star on, and he also made the ornaments for the tree this year.
I saw this Idea in a magazine of ways to get your kids involved I glued the Popsicle sticks together then Jakob glued on all of the buttons he was so proud when he was finished and I love the way they look in the tree.
My younger sister Kelsey was watching my boys and she took them to the craft store and found these owls for their ornaments for this year.

BEFORE I WAS A MOM
Before I was a Mom
I made and ate hot meals.
I had unstained clothing.
I had quiet conversations on the phone.
Before I was a Mom
I slept as late as I wanted
And never worried about how late I got into bed.
I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.
Before I was Mom
I cleaned my house each day.
I never tripped over toys or forgot words of lullabies.
Before I was a Mom
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom
I had never been puked on
Pooped on
Spit on
Chewed on
Peed on
Or pinched by tiny fingers
Before I was a Mom
I had complete control of:
My thoughts
My body
And my mind.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child
So that doctors could do tests
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
When I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
Could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a Mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
Could make me feel so important.
Before I was a Mom
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay
I had never known the warmth
The joy
The love
The heartache
The wonder
Or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.
