A Month Of THANKSGIVING #14

I'm thankful for my Home. I got this poem from my friend Audrey. She had it hanging in her home and I thought it only fitting to hang in my Home as well.

Excuse this house

Some homes try to hide the fact
that children shelter there

Ours boasts of it quite openly
the signs are everywhere

For smears are on the windows
little smudges on the door

I should apologize I guess for
the toys strewn on the floor

But I sat down with the children
we played and laughed and read

And if the doorbell doesn’t shine
Their eyes will shine instead

For when at times I’m forced to
choose the one job or the other

I want to be a housewife
But first I’ll be a mother

A Month Of THANKSGIVING #4

I'm Thankful for my Parents and for their example.

*My mom is one of the most amazing people in my life she has taught me the importance of the gospel, to treat people kindly, and the most important lesson that my mother every taught me was the importance of family. My mom chose to stay home and take care of us kids and I'm grateful for that sacrifice. I loved having my mom home when I came home from school and for her always being at all of my school activities. I realize now being a mother that it took a lot of time out of my mothers day to do the things that she did for me and I'm grateful to have such a great Mom.
*My dad is also one of the most amazing people in my life he has taught me the importance of the gospel, to treat others with respect, and the most important lesson I ever learned from him was to do what was right no matter what the consequence is that if you live your life honestly you will always be taken care of. Also my dad worked very hard to make sure that we had the things that we needed growing up and I'm grateful for his sacrifice. I'm Thankful to have the great Parents that I have.

A Month Of THANKSGIVING......

I love November. The weather is cool, perfect time for Fall goodies and Christmas is just around the corner. But the reason I love November most is because I get to think about all of the things I am grateful for. This year, the list is mighty long. So every day this month, I am going to share one thing . It's going to be fun!

No. 1: I am Thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. And Thankful for the blessings it has brought into my life.
