It's Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it's official Jakob is registered for Kindergarten for this coming school year. I'm so excited for him to be starting school. We are not sure if he will be attending all day or half day we find out at the end of the week. I'm having a hard time with the decision on which one to do. Does anyone have any suggestions or word of advice that could help me make the decision.

Yay for kindergarten!!!
Questions: Does it cost $ to have him full day? Does he want to go full day? Do you think he needs it, or is it just a break for you? - If it's free I'd probably have him go full day if he's ready for it.
I kept David half day 1) because full day cost $175/month; 2) He had never done preschool except for the coo-op 2 days a week; 3) I'm home and Timothy misses him 4) I didn't think he was ready to be gone that long.
It's now almost 2/3 of the way through the school year and he is now ready to go full day. We can't afford it, but I have to option of having him stay late 1 day a week. We are considering this because he would love it and we can now afford $40 a month, or whatever it is.
Good luck with your decision. I think the answer is different for everyone!

it's good that you have a choice--but i don't know if i have any good advice. simon can't do kindergarten (just barely too young) but could do full-day pre-k and i've been wrestling with what to do forever. i think i'd jump at it if he could do half-day . . . let us know what you decide!

I would go 1/2. Having had my first Kindergardener this year, I am finding out how exhausting a full day really is for them!
