I'm thankful for my children's imagination and humor they make me laugh daily and allow me to be a kid with them every once in awhile.

Today I'm grateful for the men and women who served and are serving our country now. And for the freedoms they have given me and my family.

Thankful Post
The idea that gratitude is the secret to happiness is nothing new, I know, and it is certainly not earth shattering, but I feel like I have stumbled upon the answer to some great mystery. Everyone wants to be happier, don't they? Well, I know that in order to be happy, I have to be grateful.
And so today, on this first day of November, I am grateful to have a heart full of gratitude. It lightens my loads and makes my burdens seem less burdensome. This hymn describes it so well:
When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings; name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, ev'ry doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you his wealth untold.
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven or your home on high.
So amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged; God is over all.
Count your many blessings; angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.
Every day this month I will be posting something I am thankful for on my blog. I hope you will play along, either in the comments here or on your own blog. It doesn't have to be anything big. In fact, I think recognizing and being grateful for the small things is just as important as the big things. If you do, I promise that your happiness will increase, just like mine has.

Jakob is in 5th grade, Kaeden is in 3rd grade, and Archer started Preschool. Talmage turned 2 in Sept. James ran in the St. George Marathon. Jakob got glasses in Oct.Posted by Korrin at 11:48 AM 0 comments

Family Reunion
We had a great time at James' Family Reunion. We were all suprised to find out that James' Aunt Joan had made the trip to be there. I love Aunt Joan she is an Amazing person and I was so excited that she made the trip to be there. I love talking with her and getting to know her more. We stayed in a cabin in New Harmony and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! This was the view from the deck it was Amazing.
We had a great time relaxing and just hanging out with Family. They had so many fun things for the kids to do on the property. It was a kids paradise with a Barn that they turned into a game room. (Actual games not electronic ones like Ping pong, Foosball and Air Hockey and Darts), little farm where the kids could gather the eggs every morning, tree houses and a Trampoline and a fishing pond. My little family on the deck. And one of Talmage because he looked so cute!!!!! We went on a hike up Kolob Canyon with some of our relatives. The boy's had a lot of fun catching Poly Wogs and frogs along the stream with their cousins. We had a great time and hope to see our relatives soon.Posted by Korrin at 12:00 AM 0 comments
